Practising in building and construction, property and company disputes and their successful resolution, Joshua is efficient and direct in his approach towards obtaining a mutually agreeable outcome.
Joshua left WGC Lawyers for a year in 2015 to work as an Associate for His Honour Judge Harrison in the District Court of Queensland, where he gained valuable litigation experience before being admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland that year.
A significant portion of Joshua’s career has been the efficient management and conduct of trials extending over a number of weeks. These include an 11-day trial representing an earthworks company involved in a failed development and a seven-day trial representing homeowners alleging substantially defective and incomplete work.
Joshua also appears in the Supreme and District Courts regularly on interlocutory matters to ensure they progress quickly to completion.
Armed with a pragmatic mindset, Joshua is at ease in appearing on behalf of clients at mediation or settlement conferences.
He works alongside directors and liquidators of companies to ensure that companies are able to recover funds owing. He is also involved in general contractual disputes, commercial leasing disputes and breaches of the Australian Consumer Law, as well as claims of negligence.
Joshua is the current Vice-President of the Far North Queensland Law Association and is involved in the local sporting community.
