Michael Huelin is a Consultant at WGC Lawyers in Cairns, working alongside Directors Rhys Larsen and Chloe Moes.
With more than 40 years’ experience, Michael is widely recognised as one of Far North Queensland’s preeminent commercial and property lawyers, advising leading property developers, investors, tourism operators, and established local businesses across Cairns and throughout Queensland.
Michael has a particular interest in large-scale development projects and strategic transactions, and his practice includes:
- commercial, residential, industrial, and tourism property development
- acquisition and sale of major tourism and hospitality assets
- business structuring, acquisitions, and disposals
- property development approvals and project delivery
- commercial transactions and complex negotiations
Michael has been involved in many of the major development projects in Cairns and Far North Queensland, including recent work on the sale of some of the region’s largest tourism operations.
Beyond the law, Michael has made significant contributions to the Cairns and Far North Queensland community. He served as a Director and Deputy Chair of Ports North for 11 years before retiring in September 2020, and he continues to support the community as a pro bono advisor to a local charity.
