» Yakira Wamsley

Following five years as a conveyancer and legal secretary, Yakira was admitted as a solicitor in 2023. She commenced practice as a family lawyer at a local boutique law firm, before joining WGC lawyers to work with Director Eddy Lago and Senior Associate Kelly Whitten.

Yakira’s lived experience has fuelled her passion for family law, in particular the areas of domestic violence and parenting matters. With experience in various areas of law including family, wills and estates, commercial and conveyancing Yakira offers a broad skill set to assist her clients during one of the most challenging and sensitive times of their lives.

Yakira appreciates the importance of collegiality in the legal profession and remains actively engaged in several law associations.

In her time out of the office Yakira is usually running around after her four children, shopping or enjoying the peace of a reformer pilates class.
