Amelia Roy joined WGC Lawyers as a paralegal in early 2022 and was admitted as a Lawyer early 2023. Amelia is currently assisting the Wills and Estates team under the direction of Jacqui Lee Long. Amelia has previously had experience in commercial, wills and estates and property law.

Amelia’s skills and knowledge base stem from professional experience in a broad number of industries including marketing and publishing, communications, media, sales, and tourism. She enjoys working closely with Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and any matters concerning business and business relations. Amelia has a thorough and tactical approach to her matters; her problem-solving skills and approachable manner ensure that all of her dealings provide a foundation for the best possible legal experience.

Originally from Melbourne, Amelia moved to Canada and then back to Australia and to Cairns in 2012. Amelia loves being outdoors and participating in a broad range of sports including martial arts and she also enjoys learning about random subjects of interest, speaking French and writing.
